Bahloul Kelbash has substantial experience in advising and representing international oil exploration and production companies, oil field services companies and foreign investors.

Bahloul's practice focuses on advising on various aspects of Libyan Labour Law and Regulations, Social Security Law, Health and Safety Law and other laws and regulations affecting the day-to-day operation of foreign companies operating in Libya. Bahloul leads MKE's Litigation practice, focusing on representing foreign companies in civil, commercial and labour disputes before all courts in Libya.

His litigation and advisory experience includes:

  • Representing the Libyan National Oil Corporation in arbitral disputes with international oil companies under the Rules of the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris.

  • Representing foreign companies before all courts of Libya in civil, commercial and labour disputes.

  • Representing an international reinsurance company in the multi-million dollar settlement of multiple claims made by the relatives and survivors of an aircraft crash.

  • Drafting and advising in relation to Work Order Regulations, Penalty Regulations and Health and Safety Regulations to be implemented by foreign companies operating in Libya and approved by the Libyan Labour Office.

  • Advising foreign companies on the acquisition and structuring of equity interests in Libyan joint stock joint venture companies..

  • Advising foreign investors on structuring and organizing investments under Libyan investment laws.
